Accommodation in a safe place is a critical part of helping people on their journey to independence. We have a range of different interventions, which range from short-term shelter to longer-term co-living.
Emergency and Transitional Housing Services
We believe that ensuring access to basic necessities is crucial for the personal transformation of individuals experiencing homelessness. With the generous support of the Fu Tak Iam Foundation, we have been operating a two-year Emergency and Transitional Housing Service since 2021. This service provides a safe and comfortable temporary accommodation where individuals can take a respite from their traumatic experiences and begin their journey towards recovery. Our comprehensive support services aim to help them envision and work towards a brighter future.
We highly value the feedback and active participation of our residents. Regular resident meetings are held to gather insightful feedback, which is essential for the continuous improvement of our services. By voicing their opinions, residents become integral members of our community, gaining the confidence to advocate for their needs and playing a crucial role in decision-making processes.
Our hostel is dedicated to fostering strong relationships. We organize seasonal outings and indoor gatherings to encourage residents from different units to connect, build mutual support networks, and create social capital.
We frequently organize activities aimed at enhancing residents’ knowledge and skills related to housing resources and management. These include seminars on tenancy affairs, visits to public housing, workshops on basic maintenance, no-cook recipes, and household organization. These activities are designed to equip residents with the skills necessary for independent living, which they can carry forward to other living arrangements after leaving the hostel.
In response to the urgent need for temporary shelter during extreme weather conditions, we will offer short-term accommodation for a few days, depending on availability. Our goal is to safeguard individuals experiencing homelessness from the hazards of extreme weather, prioritizing their dignity and safety.

Co-living Programme
The Co-living Programme empowers individuals experiencing homelessness to enhance their interpersonal, conflict resolution, and daily living skills through mutual support and collaborative discussions about household management. Rooted in the concept of shared living, this programme offers lower rent compared to the general rental market, allowing participants to better manage their personal savings and work towards future life goals despite financial constraints. Additionally, it fosters a supportive community among housemates, opening up opportunities for continued shared living arrangements in the future.
